Product story: Fresh Durian from Chanh Thu Fruit Import Export Co., Ltd

Cho Lach - Cai Mon - a land of peace lies between two branches of Cuu Long as the Co Chien and Ham Luong rivers. This is the homeland of a famous scientist named Truong Vinh Ky. Whenever mentioning Cai Mon, fruit connoisseurs cannot ignore a familiar fruit well known across the country: Cai Mon durian. At any big or small market in the whole territory of Vietnam, it is not difficult to see durian stalls with an advertisement: “Cai Mon durian with yellow color and small seed”.

“Mangosteen and Durian of Cai Mon
Clams and cockles of Con Loi, and good medicines of Mo Cay”

The first impression when mentioning durian is its unique shape and fragrance. Durian is considered the king of tropical fruits with abundant nutrients and is favored by many people. However, no place has better quality durian than Cai Mon - Cho Lach, even though the seedlings originated from Cai Mon and are planted everywhere, which is different from the famous brand “Cai Mon Durian”.

On the land favored by nature, durian in Cai Mon - Cho Lach - Ben Tre has developed strongly thanks to its delicious taste with sweetness, greasy taste, plasticity, and smoothness that durians in other places can hardly be compared. Cai Mon durian has a high nutritional content, a delicious taste more unique than other regions, and low water content of flesh. It is grown on ventilated and high ground so its flesh is rarely hard and burned pulp. Thanks to many years of experience in taking care of and controlling water content at the right time, the durian quality here is very excellent and makes dinners remember forever.

Over a long period, the specialty of Cai Mon durian still retains its inherent taste to develop a well-known brand to many people. Cai Mon is also an area associated with the production of durian seedlings and fruits, which has increasingly affirmed the quality and value of Cai Mon durian to domestic consumers and gradually reached out to the international market.

Dubbed the hometown of sweet and healthy fruits in the countryside of Cho Lach - Ben Tre, Chanh Thu Fruit Import-Export Co., Ltd was established here in 2009. With the experience of trading fruits from the early days of its establishment, Chanh Thu always approaches new markets and expands its scale. Particularly, durian on this land is paid special attention by farmers as a cradle of seedlings originating from Cho Lach - Cai Mon. For the export of durian by official quota, Chanh Thu Company cooperates with farmers to establish standards of VietGAP, and GlobalGAP, improve procedures, and apply Science - Technology for off-season harvesting, thereby improving both quality and quantity. As a result, it has built prestige for domestic consumers and countries for exporting such as the USA, Australia, China, Taiwan, Canada, Korea, etc.

After being harvested in gardens in Cho Lach district, Ben Tre province by Chanh Thu Fruit Import Export Co., Ltd. in collaboration with farmers, the durians are transported to the Chanh Thu factory for preliminary processing, and packaging before exporting to many international markets such as Taiwan, China, USA, Australia, etc., to order to compete fairly with durian products of other countries such as Thailand, Indonesia, etc.

The pre-processing, processing, and packing of fresh durian fruit under the Chanh Thu brand are implemented at the pre-processing, freezing, and packing factory with the most advanced technology under a strictly controlled process at all stages by international food safety standard FSSC 22000.

With the motto “We made Vietnam fruit brand”, Chanh Thu Fruit Import-Export Co., Ltd always puts product quality and customer's trust first and builds its prestige in the export of Vietnamese fruits to other countries in the world. For purpose of raising the value of Vietnamese fruits, Chanh Thu has been accompanying farmers on the way to make the Vietnamese fruit brand reach out to the international market.
